- Internal monologue of Maedhros of the House of Fëanor, regarding the actions of his cousin Fingon, the Silmarillion, “Of the Flight of the Noldor”
In this fandom full of flailing and feels posts you're actually articulate. Can you explain to a bystander why the Thorin/Bilbo ship is still so popular? I don't understand it. I know most of this fandom is teenage girls and dick male characters are popular amongst them but after the second movie, why is it still such a big ship for the fluff lovers when it's obvious that Thorin is not a good person?? Do people *think* once in a while???
In an inbox of largely lovely messages, anon, you’re actually rather rude. Which is something I hope you realized when you were typing this.
But let’s discuss anyway, because you bring up some interesting talking points. And yes, I feel like I can explain a few things, and hopefully provide some insight, as you’ve requested.
I NEED FEMINISM BECAUSE WHEN A FEMALE MEMBER OF THE IRISH PARLIAMENT COMPLAINED SHE WAS A BIT COLD A MALE MEMBER LAUGHED AND SAID HE’D “WARM HER UP” AND PULLED HER ONTO HIS LAP
WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
IN THE PARLIAMENT CHAMBERS
WHILE THE OTHER MALE MEMBERS JUST STOOD AROUND WATCHING AND LAUGHING
IN THE MIDDLE OF A DEBATE ON THE REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS OF WOMEN*
IF YOU DON’T THINK IRELAND HAS A MAJOR SEXISM PROBLEM YOU’RE SERIOUSLY WRONG
